19 years on since the success of Operation Vijay at Kargil, India’s young pay their respects to the real heroes and their undying spirit! Children of Balagokulam enthusiatically participated in Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations today the 26th of July, to honor the sons of our soil who laid down their lives at Kargil, defeating the enemy’s efforts of infiltration.
Over a period of 2 weeks, Balagokulam Bharat’s Hyderabad Shikshaks across the city are helping imbibe the selflessness of these heroes in children, by organizing Kargil themed activities such as essay writing on their favorite heroes, sharing stories of gallantry and sacrifice of our Armed forces etc.
The NEXT Galleria mall witnessed celebrations that brought 3 Balagokulams together with over 80 children, who put up spirited events that helped children and adults alike appreciate the critical role of the Armed forces, understand National security and recognize the savage conditions that were braved by the soldiers to regain pieces of Bharat from intruders. The Galleria Mall celebrations were presided over by Group Captain Joydeep Banerjee (Retd) who was commissioned into the IAF in 1992, and held the responsibility of training novice pilots in war efforts during the Kargil war. In one other event Wing Commander Peeyosh Goyal (Retd), who has graduated from tri-service academy, has primarily flown MiG21s, MiG29s and the Sukhois, and who guarded the western skies in Jaisalmer sector, presided the event.
Their talks evoked tears of pride while recounting the experiences of the saga, it’s unrelenting devotion, duty and courage from not just his teams on the deadliest snow peaks, but also of immediate families who lived the aftermath.
Balagokulams from various localities of the city, have also scheduled their grand finale with a line up of events throughout the month where several high ranking and eminent personnel from the Military are participating to ignite our little children’s minds.
Army personnel also inspired many young minds, in the right direction of service to the nation, as a noble choice of career.
In some Balagokulams 527 diyas were lighetened to commomerate 527 brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives for our country.
Balagokulam yet again proved to pack in the same fervour it brings into all its nation building activities, this time to salute the ‘Never Say Die’ attitude that was upheld by every single jawan at the borders, almost 2 decades back! Jai Jawaans!
